5 Eco-Cars Faster than the Porsche 911
Why the Porsche 911?
There’s nothing inherently special about being faster than the Porsche 911 which can get from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5-5.0 seconds (I’m talking about the regular 911s, not the $194k GT2). It’s not like you actually need that kind of acceleration in regular driving… But, it does strike the imagination of gearheads everywhere and create a halo effect. If that can help make eco-cars more desirable, why not?

NY Fashion Week: Unique Designs Make a Splash at Eko-Laborative
Mass-produced, chemically dyed clothes do plenty of environmental damage, both here and abroad, but they also don’t do much for your personal style—there’s a good chance you’ll end up looking just like everyone else. But the handcrafted, sustainable pieces at this week’s Eko-Laborative exhibition, presented by Eko-Lab and Ekovaruhuset were anything but cookie cutter. Each was made of organic fibers—cotton, linen, hemp, wool—and colored with Earthues natural dyes. Crocheted jewelry, hand-mined gems, vintage charms, and striking headpieces finished the looks.

The 2008 Beijing Olympics have been incredible to watch. Michael Phelps winning 8 Gold Medals and breaking 7 World Records, Bolt running the fastest 100M footrace ever while not even finishing out the race full force, among other incredible feats. Here are a few of my favorite images from these Olympic Games.
